Stamping of metal sheet threads

The stamping of metal sheet threads is suitable as a cost-effective method for joining thin sheets by means of a sheet metal screw. Only two operations are required for forming: Perforation and forming. The stamping of sheet metal threads is suitable for sheet metal screws in accordance with DIN or special dimensions as well.

Notes on manufacturing

  1. The possible thickness of the sheet s is 0.8 – 1.5 mm.
  2. The thread D and hole P depend on the respective thicknesses of sheet S.
NOTE

The sheet threading tools are always designed for a particular sheet thickness. Screws with a metric thread cannot be used for fastening.
